How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience? 

During instability periods, the Legal approach remains the same. However, some business cases may be treated in a different way than usual ones. Luckly, Ambienta SGR doesn’t face critical issues coming from past investments that can be impacted by global crisis because the environmental trend overcomes current geopolitical issues and market failures. However, the risk management is potentially changing the business strategy considering the recent sanctions against Russia. 

What are the main cases or transactions that you have been involved in recently?   

Acquisition of Maccaferri which is a global leader in gabions; asset purchase of UK business; acquisition of Babcock in France. 

How do you measure the impact of ESG initiatives on the company’s overall performance and reputation?   

In Ambienta SGR the ESG criteria are embedded in the DNA of the business, we use proprietary tool to measure the ESG impact on each acquisition we are analysing in a rigorous way by using scientific criteria.
