Aeroporto di Bologna
The Aeroporto di Bologna legal department has been recognised for enabling a number of high-profile projects throughout Italy. Most recently, the team has been praised in the legal sphere for their involvement and negotiation of the establishment of the gateway of Guglielmo Marconi this year, a project which has a value of over €26m, a partnership agreement with aimed at boosting the presence of the courier, doubling the cargo carried from Aeroporto di Bologna. Led by legal and corporate affairs director Silvia Piccorossi, the team is composed of four lawyers, three paralegals and two technicians and amongst its exceptional staff, Marianna Tranchida stands out for her role in the DHL agreement, a ‘brilliant and confident’ lawyer whose background and specialisation in the aviation-transport matter and ‘international background and smart vision towards the company needs’ has proven to be a real asset to the team. Piccorossi explains how the department has been crucial to the company’s growth: ‘We can support the company businesses in terms of both economic results and saving resources, and also in terms of target achievement. We provide daily high quality assistance on a very wide variety of matters’. Amongst some of its most notable achievements, In November 2015 the team worked on the closing of a new contract for the launch of a daily flight from Bologna to Dubai. The project had the ambitious target to carry the belly of the operated Boeing 777 of all the products of excellence of the Regional Industrial District. Currently this goal seems to be completely achieved, looking to the enormous number of Lamborghini, Ferrari and Pagani cars transported weekly. Also focused on improving international relations, in March 2017 the legal department jointly with the Aviation Traffic Development Division of the Bologna Airport, built the necessary documentation in order to apply for the “Welcome Chinese” certification from the Chinese government, allowing only recognised organisations to enter the Chinese market directly through the support of the China Tourism Academy and China Tourism Ministry which supports the program, offering special credit benefits at major Chinese tour operators. Once released, Bologna had officially become the first Italian metropolitan city to have received the official Chinese certification.
