Ansaldo Energia
Supporting Ansaldo Energia, Italy’s largest supplier, installer and service provider for power generation plants and components, the legal team of 28 lawyers and five paralegals is dispersed in Italy, France, USA, Australia and India. In this capacity, the Italian based team is directly responsible for defending the company from all attacks received from activist funds that threaten to disrupt the business. Over the last two years the team has tried to increase in dimension and capabilities, encouraging a strong internalisation of competences with a focus on corporate governance. As part of their internal expansion the legal and compliance function has now become a global adviser inside and outside the company. Filippo Corsi currently serves as the general counsel and chief compliance officer of the group, after previously being vice president legal business affairs and litigations in charge of the legal support to the group’s litigation and compliance. Some of the recent innovations created by the team involve artificial intelligence and e-discovery processes for corporate governance matters. Some of its notable Italy-based legal staff include Ranieri d’Atri, head of corporate affairs and Monica Bruno, senior legal counsel who both boast tremendous legal expertise.
