Praising the company’s internal legal team, a nominating source states that ‘Autogrill’s legal team constantly works to reinforce its presence in Italy and all over the world’, evincing the international nature of the legal department’s support. One of the most important events for the company in the recent past was its partial demerger, during which the Autogrill legal team oversaw the legal and compliance machinations of the company’s travel retail and duty free business to its wholly owned subsidiary World Duty Free. World Duty Free has been listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since October 2013 signalling the enduring success of the legal team’s oversight on this complex process.
