World famous automobile manufacturers Ferrari enjoy legal support from a team of eight lawyers and a paralegal led by general counsel Carlo Daneo, an inclusion on The Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Italy in 2016. According to legal counsel Luigi Gallinoni, who manages the main group legal corporate and capital market matters in the team, Ferrari’s legal department work towards the aim of ‘excellence of legal services and team building’, and this culture has proven conducive to outstanding business outcomes for Ferrari as it deals with the machinations of a fluctuating global economy. Gallinoni highlights three cases in particular where the team showed its strength, including ‘the separation from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles through two demergers and one merger, a second listing on the Borsa Italiana and the inaugural issue of fixed-rate notes admitted on the Irish Stock Exchange’, showing the team’s versatility and flexibility when faced with a myriad of business issues. With a mindset of ‘analysing any matter in depth and trying to manage or solve such matters in the best possible way’, the team employ several experts in the fields of corporate, litigation, IP and purchasing matters, and being named as providing particularly outstanding support are the aforementioned Gallinoni, in addition to Mariangela Nardiello, Stefano Gemi, Paolo Lorenzi and Francesco Santoro.
