Prelios SGR
A team of six lawyers and two support staff, the legal team at Italian real estate fund Prelios SGR is described by head of corporate and legal affairs and company secretary Roberto Mastrorosa as being ‘like any legal team at an Italian asset management company – central, and a strong partner of the business team helping it to gain the same exact targets’. With ‘deep knowledge of Italian law as well as soft skills to utilise to gain business results’, the team is charged with working to combat challenges to the business that relate to the specific and fast-changing regulation within the real estate business. Mastrorosa calls such challenges as requiring ‘a constant legal update and a certain flexibility in order to balance legal constraints with business needs’. The two most senior lawyers in the legal team are Dario Moreschini, head of business legal affairs, and Paola Cervini, head of corporate and regulatory affairs, each of whom undertake a remit that is split along corporate and business activity lines of Prelios SGR. They are both well-known for ‘representing a strong and qualified reference point for Prelios SGR management granting a focused coverage on all the legal aspects pertaining to business and corporate interests’, highlighting their quality. In terms of senior management, ‘interaction is the key and occurs on daily basis’ displaying the team’s integration and close relationship with the strategic decision makers of the company.
