Located northwest of the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi di Bologna (AdB) is an international airport serving the city of Bologna in Italy. The legal team of AdB is structured in three main departments: legal, corporate and procurement. Led by legal and corporate affairs director and general counsel Silvia Piccorossi, the legal and corporate team is composed by a number of highly competent lawyers, including senior lawyer legal regulations and institutional affairs officer, Marianna Tranchida, and senior lawyer Benedetta Postiglioni who is an expert in civil law and contracts, with solid experience in the airport sector. Also on the team is legal advisor, Cristina Modica who is described by Piccorossi as ‘a young and brilliant legal advisor’ specialised in data protection and cybersecurity matters. Together the team provides continuous advisory activity, working on domestic and international deals and business transactions. They continuously work to support all the regulated process, mainly those related to airport concessions and government agreements and those referred to the regulatory authority to define charges and fees. The legal team has been tasked with the work that has come with the reorganisation of the whole branch, which led to AdB being listed in the Milan Stock Exchange. The team has also worked on a project called “Fire Service Fund”, a ten year judicial dispute against the Italian state for an illegitimate request of contribution. The legal team has also worked on the data protection and cybersecurity compliance programme, a new exhaustive organisational model fully implemented within the deadline of the European Regulation.
