Established in 1974 as a data processing centre for Veneto Chambers of Commerce, Cerved Group has grown to become the largest information provider in Italy and one of the major credit rating agencies in Europe. Headed by general counsel Sabrina Delle Curti, the legal affairs team is composed of four professionals, three lawyers and one doctor in law. The corporate affairs part of team is composed of three professionals, one lawyer, a doctor in law and one paralegal. The legal affairs team provides legal support in facilitating new services and products across the business as well as assisting with collaboration and partnership projects. The team is also central to managing litigation and has assumed the role of internal contact in the field of privacy. The corporate affairs team is in charge of managing the corporate events of all the companies belonging to the Cerved Group. It guarantees the full compliance of the parent company with the Italian and European market abuse regulations, with particular reference to the safeguards imposed and ensuring alignment of the internal procedures with regulation from time to time. In the last two years the legal team has grown with the addition of three professionals and has begun a specialisation course becoming verticalised by market sectors like financial institutions, insurance, corporate, business development, new business and advisory and with regard to corporate affairs, divided into two main areas, one dealing with the listed parent company and the other with Cerved Credit Management Group. ‘The vision and the motto of the legal team is to become a boutique law firm inside the company. This vision is developed day by day working with maximum quality, ambition and attention in close connection with the typical needs of a company’, says Delle Curti.
