Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank has been present in Italy for more than 40 years, and prides itself for having a robust product platform that is supported by strong risk, legal, compliance, tax and accounting teams. The legal team is made up of five lawyers including the head of legal and corporate affairs Simone Davini, who covers and coordinates all the relevant legal activities. The team is sometimes aided by host secondees from other in-house legal departments of other local group entities, who join the team to improve the overall pool of legal skills in relation to corporate and investment banking transactions. The team also comprises of two senior legal counsel, Giorgio Nobile and Angela Dominici, who are dedicated to the macro-areas of structure finance and debt capital markets respectively, and are also able to cover different areas of the business and related transactions. In order to support the exchange of knowledge within the business, the team has recently implemented multi-disciplinary and cross-functional development initiatives, allowing team members to spend time with a specific business desk to have a deeper understanding of the Bank’s financial activities. The legal team has also been involved in the green financing for the major Italian utilities HERA and A2A, and inaugural green bond for ERG.
