The legal team of Google Italy is comprised of a number of talented in-house lawyers, who provide legal advice on a wide range of matters for Google. The team is headed by Marilù Capparelli, who is one of the managing directors of Google legal department in the EMEA area. Under Capparelli’s leadership, the legal team has been able to successfully support the business and its vision by educating the business on when to best seek legal advice. Recently the team has also managed to close a settlement with the Italian tax authority to resolve a long-running tax inquiry without the need for litigation.
