Italian telecommunications company Iliad Italia is a large mobile operator in Italy with over 3.31 million active lines. Considering that Iliad Italia launched its business just one year ago, the legal team has been successful in setting up the function from scratch in a very competitive market. ‘We are a start-up team, experiencing daily changes and growth’, says general counsel and data protection officer, Lina Vitolo. ‘Our commercial slogan is “Join the Revolution” and our team perfectly embodies such motto. We are a small agile team serving the company in successfully facing old giant competitors’, adds Vitolo. Made up of five members, the legal team is comprised of legal counsels Beatrice Borello and Cristina De Vito, legal counsel and privacy manager Mariagiovanna Mandara and legal team assistant, Manuela Tredicine. Together the legal team has been key to a number of business-driving projects including the launch of mobile telecommunications in the market. They have also worked on the acquisition of telecommunication infrastructures from Wind Tre and the sale of mobile towers to multinational tower company, Cellnex.
