Could you share an example of a time when your team came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

Everything we do is innovative in that we are occupying a new market niche, whereby we are using FPGA-based hardware logic to perform functions currently performed by software. Among other things, this has necessitated creating novel forms of agreements with customers. Our initial customers are financial institutions.

How important is choosing to work with external lawyers who align with your company’s values?

It is highly important that our outside legal advisors be aligned with us. They must be highly capable and must understand our business as we are offering sophisticated, leading, and cutting-edge technology to financial institutions. It is essential that our outside legal advisors be highly capable.

How do you suggest in-house lawyers build strong relationships with business partners?

In order to build strong relationships with business partners it is important that in-house lawyers learn the business thoroughly.
