What are the most significant cases, transactions or projects that your legal team has recently been involved in?

In collaboration with our colleagues around the world, we recently carried out the largest IPO on the NYSE since the second half of 2021, and successfully defended our company from a regulatory action which could significantly impact our operation.

Could you share an example of a time when your team came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?   

In order to strengthen the level of engagement within the team, the members initiated a project to understand the characteristics of each member by going into the details at their personal level in a structured manner.

How important is choosing to work with external lawyers who align with your company’s values?  

Especially for the firms we partner with to go through major projects, we do focus on firms who understands our values including diversity policies.

How do you suggest in-house lawyers build strong relationships with business partners?

By understanding the priorities of each stakeholder on regular basis (not only when the issues come up), and by having them better understand our priorities and characteristics as a company. Ultimately, we should pursue a bigger goal to make a decision not only being legally correct but also more socially beneficial.
