In short, we consider it extremely important that external law firms share our company values and principles when selecting them. One key area that we monitor in relation to this is with regard to gender diversity. We are continuously seeking external law firms to address and improve the diversity of their employees, and this would have an impact on which law firms we would instruct.

To build good relationships with law firms and other business partners, I believe that legal members in a company should ensure that these firms and partners have a good understanding of their business in order to get the best advice. To achieve this, it is important to establish a long-term mutual trust and not just limit interactions to business-related matters. Building relationships through communication outside of work is also crucial.
