Based on your experience, what is the key to collaborating successfully with business partners?
Understanding the company’s business and the business partner’s goals and challenges is key. Do not hesitate to ask them questions, even if you are afraid that these questions are strange. Candid and open communication will help you build a better relationship with them. It is also a good opportunity to hold regular meetings with them.

How do you motivate and manage the other members of your legal team well?
I believe it is essential to increase both (1) engagement and (2) empowerment of team members. Some helpful methods include (a) cascading the strategy of senior management and so on down to the team by adding what it means to the team, (b) ensuring open communication within the team, and (c) providing opportunities for each member to think about his or her own career plan and what he or she needs to do to achieve it.
