What are the projects that you are most proud of working on over the past 12 months?
Over the past year, I have been involved in a variety of strategic and high-impact projects. These included supporting complex corporate structures and transactions across multiple jurisdictions, as well as contributing to operational improvements within the legal function. I take particular pride in the work I’ve done to streamline internal processes and improve efficiency, especially in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
I’ve also had the opportunity to work closely with different teams across the business, helping navigate legal aspects of key transactions and ensuring compliance in a practical, business-oriented way. These experiences have strengthened both my leadership and legal capabilities, and I look forward to continuing to grow in these areas.
How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
In moments of uncertainty, I believe it is essential to remain calm, adaptable, versatile, and focused on finding practical solutions. I work closely with internal stakeholders to prioritise issues, identify key risks and develop structured action plans. Communication and transparency are key, both within the legal team and across departments.
What do you think sets you apart from other in-house counsel?
I bring a combination of legal expertise and operational insight, with a practical understanding of how to align legal work with broader business objectives. I am proactive, pragmatic and focused on solutions – not just identifying risks, but helping the business move forward with confidence. My experience of managing both legal matters and teams gives me a well-rounded view of what in-house counsel can deliver beyond legal advice.
What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?
Today’s in-house counsel must be adaptable, collaborative and commercially minded. It’s no longer enough to provide legally correct answers – we also need to provide commercially viable advice that looks at the bigger picture. Strong communication skills, a good grasp of technology and the ability to simplify complexity are essential to succeed and add value in a modern business environment.
What do you think is the greatest innovation you have enacted in the past year?
In the past year, I’ve contributed to the improvement of internal legal operations by helping introduce better tools and more structured processes. While not revolutionary on their own, these changes have had a real impact on the team’s daily work and the quality of legal service we deliver. Sometimes small innovations, well implemented, can make the biggest difference.
