An in-house lawyer with over 10 years of experience, Jessica Guerra Cruces is a corporate and intellectual property counsel with a track record of delivering at a number of international companies including Philip Morris, Office Depot, Walmart and now Kimberly-Clark.

Three years ago Guerra assumed her current position as senior manager counsel of Kimberly-Clark de México. Having served in a managerial position at the company for six years prior, Guerra had earned the respect of senior management for her technical legal skills and understanding of the business. Guerra has effortlessly renewed and restructured the entire legal area during her time at Kimberly-Clark. Some of the changes she’s made include reducing fines in regulatory affairs by up to 99%.

She has also created synergies and fellowship between the areas she attends to, generating a cohesive environment that improves the whole work area and perception of the legal department. ‘I have made synergies because in many of the areas where I’ve been working lawyers represent a delay and complications to many people. So I have worked very hard to prove that we (the lawyers) are a friendly and helpful area that exist to support them’, says Guerra.
