How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?   

We provide an overview of the five primary Accenture offices located in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. In any business, there are always areas facing challenges while others experience success. Our strategy is to concentrate our efforts and personnel on the thriving sectors of our business. Equally, if not more importantly, we are constantly seeking ways to educate our teams, preparing them to stay ahead of the curve for future developments. The technology industry is undergoing a significant transformation, and we must equip our teams with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate what lies ahead.  

What are the main cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?    

A few months ago, Accenture collaborated with one of Mexico’s largest banks to co-develop a marketplace for used car resale products. This included numerous software solutions, all integrated into a comprehensive platform. The services that Accenture will provide are designed to ensure secure transactions for both car sellers and buyers. Given the safety challenges Mexico has faced in recent years, this platform will offer users a secure environment to buy or sell high-value assets for them. The product is set to launch in the coming weeks, and we are thrilled to be part of this success story for our company. We worked hand in hand with our client’s legal team to create the most adequate legal framework which should enable our business to be very successful.  

How do you manage and motivate your legal team to ensure high performance and professional growth?   

The key to leading a team is the time you spend with each team member, not just checking their work, but as individuals, what drives them, and what excites them, if you care for your team, they will care for you and their duties. You have to prioritise the person and their whole life over business.    

They are not just legal professionals, they are people with families, partners, children, or hopes of having them. By showing them that they matter most, their performance will improve, and they will seek personal and professional growth. Happy people make a healthy and happy workplace. It is not only about fun and friendship, but those things will lead to natural performance and responsibility.  

In my experience, maintaining motivation and inspiration within a team is crucial. While not all tasks will be enjoyable, it is important to ensure that at least some aspects of the work are fun and exciting. We continually strive to find ways to motivate our team, with a significant focus on fostering enjoyment in their tasks. This is often achieved when the team commits to a goal, they have set themselves, as this leads to greater dedication to their chosen work.
