How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation ́s resilience?
The first step would be to draw close to my team and provide them with comfort and peace of mind to work together and achieve solutions to any legal challenges that the company may face; the general strategy aligns with the company’s philosophy of working in a collaborative environment rather than individual.
What are the main cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
I’ve been involved in the transformation of one of the departments under my supervision so that we not only provided legal advice but accompanied our clients
and users from the first moment they call the company to enact their insurance policy. I´ve also implemented company policies to help the clients and users to be advised by the legal department form their first point of contact to avoid procedural mistakes as well as saving company resources.
How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
Both diversity and inclusion are social causes that I’ve tried to support and sponsor throughout my professional career by fostering practices that help others achieve managing and micromanaging positions as well as other key positions both within the company and the legal department. Some of the practices include courses regarding human rights, equality and diversity in order that all the employees know these fundamental rights.
