Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?
As in-house counsel, much paperwork is needed, many procedures revised, and a lot of documents reviewed. This sometimes is perceived as unpractical and “ancient”, that is why joining the digital era is a must, even more so when you are part of a large top of the line company.
When the pandemic hit, we all moved to a digital way of working and that forced us to learn to work efficiently and practically from afar, that is when as a legal staff, we decided to have all corporate secretaries in digital. Along with my very efficient and highly skilled senior corporate counsel, the development of an online request for POAs was born. This scheme also connects with outside third parties to fulfill requests that come to my inbox. With this we save time, resources and even paper.
What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?
Safety, definitely. We say that safety is a shared responsibility, and I truly believe so. If we take more care of everyone’s safety, accidents, collisions and fatalities may be reduced to nearly zero and the lives of so many individuals and families won’t be at risk.
