What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
I have supported strategic negotiations involving real estate, third-party logistics, and high-value transactions, including our contracts with media and creative agencies. Additionally, we are reassessing our internal processes, assisting other teams in removing obstacles, and offering legal solutions that enhance efficiency.
Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?
An example of innovation was the creation of model contracts for various services and goods, allowing users to utilise them and streamline the review time. Furthermore, we prepared and conducted training for teams across the organisation to expedite the contracting process.
What is a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?
The cause that matters to me is raising awareness about the importance of in-house lawyers within a company. Sometimes, lawyers are perceived as a necessary evil; however, if we can change this mindset to one of collaboration, in-house lawyers can play a crucial role in internal processes and risk prevention. Alongside this, I am passionate about ensuring that the legal department gains the prominence it deserves, with its own team and budget, so that we are not seen as the jack-of-all-trades of the company.
