Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?    

With the technological tools available in the company, a security system has been implemented for legal documents prepared or approved by the Legal Department, which consists of the inclusion of a QR code that authenticates the veracity of the legal documents actually reviewed and approved, providing certainty to the legal representative who signs them on behalf of the company. 

With the support of the IT team, a system for uploading legal documents from suppliers of works or specialised services has been set up, which makes it possible to verify the compliance of these suppliers with the requirements established by law for the provision of services, such as registration, payment of taxes, payment of social security contributions for their employees, and so on. 

The iManage technology application has been implemented to manage and secure legal documents. This is complemented by the introduction of advanced electronic signatures for contracts and legal documents. 

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?  

Of particular concern in Mexico are recent government reforms that have eliminated autonomous agencies such as the Federal Competition Commission and the National Institute for Access to Public Information, creating uncertainty in antitrust matters as well as transparency and accountability, which may delay or discourage foreign investment in Mexico to the detriment of the national economy and companies operating in the country.
