What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
The implementation of new products, as well as the negotiation with strategic partners are key to continue providing a service that is accessible to the customers, as well as for the positioning of the company in the fintech and payment ecosystem in Mexico. As a personal policy, I always look for ways to make projects possible, so that the internal business areas can meet their objectives and that on the legal side everything is kept in compliance.
Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?
With the tools we currently have available, I have sought to take full advantage of them to improve task tracking, have information accessible to the entire team and align all of us with the latest actions and criteria that have been implemented. In addition to the tools, working with the product area gives me the opportunity to look for new and better ways to implement solutions that are aligned with the regulations and that maintain the innovative part that provides a better user experience.
What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?
I firmly believe in making ideas happen. The company has the vision that ideas should not be limited, and that people are key to moving the world and touching millions of lives. Financial inclusion as such and access to technology is something that all people should enjoy, it is key to be a factor of change to adapt to the current conditions of today’s world and provide a solution that makes us worthy of the trust of users.
