Grupo Aeroméxico has a highly experienced and talented in-house legal team that has had demonstrable success in attaining tangible business outcomes. For example, the airline holding company has announced a new route between Mexico City and Barcelona as part of its European expansion initiative. The agreement was signed and announced in January 2019 and will be serviced by its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet three times a week. Additionally, it was announced a 22% increase in the frequency of flights to Paris and Madrid due to additional demand. The legal team also negotiated and signed a code sharing agreement with Virgin Atlantic and strengthened its deal with Delta Air Lines as part of the agreement, allowing Aeroméxico to offer more connections and destinations. In a further expansion in January 2019, the team signed a codeshare agreement with Aeroflot to allow Aeroméxico customers to connect in Amsterdam, London, Madrid and Paris and travel onwards to Russia for the first time.
