The highly recognised in-house legal team is supported by Tanya Quiñónez, regional general counsel, HBT Latin America at Honeywell, based in Mexico. The wider team handles the legal affairs of the Latin American region.
In 2018, Honeywell Mexico, the specialist manufacturer in the aerospace, buildings, production and safety sectors, contributed to the relief effort in the aftermath of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico City by donating US$400,000 in personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Mexico Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA).
The legal team has also worked on the continuing smart grid project awarded to the company in 2016 managing the grid for the country’s federal electricity company, Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) and in particular deploying Honeywell’s smart electricity meter system.
