ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions México, a major force in the Mexican industrial manufacturing sector, has a high quality in-house legal team led by Mexico and Central America legal director Rodrigo Pérez Elizundia, who is ably assisted by junior lawyer Andrés Etienne Salinas. Pérez, reporting to the general counsel of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions in Germany and to the CEO of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions México, is responsible for the legal business of the company in Mexico and Central America. The team provides legal support in connection with infrastructure projects mostly in Mexico and the Central American region, but also from time to time in North and Latin America, along with other members of the international legal team. Recently, the team has been involved in many important dispute resolution cases including an important ICC arbitration. Pérez summarises the team’s contribution as providing ‘high quality legal services to all areas of the company and its affiliates in Mexico and Central America. The team deals – in-house – with all internal legal matters including, among others, corporate and contracts, and uses different law firms on a case-by-case basis, especially for litigation’.
