Associate general counsel | Qatar Petroleum
Timmy Trihartama
Associate general counsel | Qatar Petroleum
Associate general counsel for state-owned petroleum company Qatar Petroleum, an organisation which is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the country and which subsequently creates a vast proportion of Qatar’s GDP, Timmy Trihartama commands great respect from his contemporaries due to the high-pressure, complex and strategically important nature of his role. His extensive career extending back to 1993 where he was a banking and finance lawyer at leading law firms and one of the largest banking and financial groups in Indonesia, Trihartama’s specialisation in the energy sector began with a role at Conoco (currently known as ConocoPhillips) in 1998, moving through senior roles within the Asia Pacific region at Halliburton Energy Services Group and Total subsequent to this, before joining Qatar Petroleum in 2007. A senior counsel at this point, Trihartama was made acting associate general counsel merely a year after this, with this role becoming permanent in 2012.
