Nadir Ammari

Nadir Ammari is a trilingual lawyer — English, French and Arabic— with more than 20 years of experience gained working in-house and in private practice in the Middle east and North Africa.
Nadir started his career in the Michelin group 13 years ago as country legal manager before overseeing North Africa and then taking responsibilities for Africa and the Middle East. He has been appointed as regional general counsel in September 2021, leading the AIM —Africa India Middle East region.
Nadir and his team are strongly involved in several legal domains and expertise including but not limited to commercial law, corporate law, labor law and intellectual property within 87 countries, 12 legal entities in the region and over 8000 employees.
Nadir is also in charge of compliance and notably in implementing the ethics and compliance strategy in his region, this includes several areas such as anti-trust, export control (embargoes), and data privacy. He is also an ambassador of ethics-related matters in his organisation. Heavily involved in several successful M&A projects across the region and involving cross-borders partnerships. He has proven leadership capacity across multicultural teams, functions and geographies. Strategic, versatile, agile, he is also involved in the talent management strategy of his company and plays an important role of mentor. Nadir currently leads the public affairs department for MENA. He is passionate about geopolitics, diversity and inclusion, football and cycling.
