Badr Ahmed Al Busaidi is a distinguished legal expert with over 20 years of extensive experience in Oman’s legal and real estate sectors. He currently serves as the vice president of legal and board secretary at Al Mouj Muscat SAOC, where he has been instrumental since 2007 in establishing and leading the legal department. Badr’s role extends across various domains, including offering strategic legal counsel, ensuring compliance with Omani laws, and managing government relations.
With a master’s degree in business law from De Montfort University, UK, and a bachelor of law from Leicester University, Badr’s career began at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), where he developed a deep expertise in contract law, labour law, and corporate governance. His tenure at PDO included roles that spanned advising on concession matters, managing external legal services, and overseeing corporate governance compliance. Badr also gained valuable international experience at Trowers & Hamlins in London, where he trained as a lawyer, working on various legal matters related to Omani law.
At Al Mouj Muscat, Badr has been pivotal in legal negotiations related to real estate projects, contract drafting for hotels and golf course operators, and ensuring the company’s compliance with laws and internal governance standards.
