The legal department of the Qatar based power and water investment company Nebras Power has been developed by Marco Faldella, who joined the company in 2016 and started out as a sole contributor. The team, which now numbers three professionals, continues to shine for its transactional work. Last year, among other things, the team contributed to the landmark multibillion bond and loan financing of Minejesa Capital (a joint venture 35% owned by Nebras Power), working closely with external counsel and in-house counsel of the other investors. The team has also played an important role supporting the pursuit of development and acquisition opportunities relating to a wide spectrum of assets in several jurisdictions across South East Asia, Latin America, Africa and the US. In the past two years, Nebras Power has also set up a robust corporate governance framework and, in particular, has developed a new code of conduct and a conflict of interest policy. The team is praised for its hard work and Faldella himself continues to impress peers with his technical preparation, problem solving qualities and knowledge of the power industry.
