What are the projects that you are most proud of working on over the past 12 months?
Over the past year, we have been actively involved in the set up and restructuring of various investment funds and products for our clients. These projects require us to focus on and take into account a wide range of legal and regulatory items, while making sure that we complete these projects, together with the business, within the envisaged timeframes.
What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?
Important attributes for a modern in-house counsel include adaptability, strategic thinking, being commercial and strong communication skills. In today’s fast-paced legal environment, I think it is crucial to be able to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and at the same time provide clear and actionable advice to the business.
Based on your experiences in the past year, are there any trends in the legal or business world that you are keeping an eye on, of which you think other in-house lawyers should be mindful?
I believe the increasing use of AI will impact the legal landscape and our way of working more and more, offering both opportunities and challenges for the business and in-house counsel.
