Being a very relatable, pragmatic and intuitive leader. I stay young at heart working in our business and with my fantastic colleagues and counterparts.

How can general counsel foster a corporate culture that supports ESG principles and compliance across all levels of the organisation?

Championing and executing are the two key principles. Practice what you preach, involve yourself in all intricate details, and spread the word. ESG is all about believing in what you do is the right thing. Create that mindset and make sure the people working with you share that mindset.

Based on your experiences in the past year, are there any trends in the legal or business world that you are keeping an eye on, of which you think other in-house lawyers should be mindful?

AI-driven productivity growth, with the emphasis on growth rather than substitution. People are really keen on enhancing their lives through offloading their mundane tasks with the help of technology. We need more proven tech that fits in with the way we work. I am confident we will get there in the medium term.
