The Norwegian subsidiary of Swedish telecommunications giant Telia is a privately owned mobile phone operator and the second largest supplier of mobile services in Norway. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Oslo, the network operator is directly owned by the Swedish company, and offers a range of mobile services for businesses and consumers to its Norwegian customers. The services are marketed under the Telia, OneCall, MyCall and Phonero brands and the company has developed mobile solutions for businesses and households that replace traditional fixed communication, with the company acting as a driving force behind the move from fixed to mobile services. Earlier this year Telia bought Danish telecoms operator TDC’s Norwegian business for NOK 21bn, which includes Get, a provider of cable TV and broadband to more than 500,000 households in Norway. The legal team of Telia in Norway – which is led by legal director Frode Lillebakken, who has been in the role for over two years – will be instrumental in the smooth integration of the newly acquired business with Telia’s existing mobile operations in Norway.
