What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
Undertaking a global corporate restructure process with the aim to simplify the business operation process was challenging as our team had to cover various areas of law including M&A, corporate, regulator, labour and tax.
How do you feel the pandemic has changed the world of work for in-house counsel and the function of the general counsel?
The pandemic allowed us to realise the importance of digitalisation and the power of technology tools for our daily business operations.
What are some of the key developments – legal, geopolitical or otherwise – that have affected your business over the past year?
The current political instability in Peru made investors to freeze their investments. Under these challenging economic circumstances, our company is doing our best to achieve each target.
Looking forward, what technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most?
The digitalisation and virtualisation of most processes inside our organisations will positively impact our role – helping us to save time and to obtain results.
