What has been the number one challenge that has impacted you over the past year?

Since 2022, the legal vice presidency of Camposol incorporated the ESG department and took upon the challenge of implementing an ESG strategy for the company that will help it reach the next level on this matter in the upcoming years. We saw several synergies between the legal and the ESG department, as the latter became crucial to the company, being strongly required by customers, banks and investors, even from a legal perspective, considering the several global legislative tendencies, such as the new European Union ESG Rules or the SEC Climate Rules in the US.

Looking forward, what technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most?

Any technology that may help in-house practitioners in risk management tasks will definitively make a difference. Also, considering that legal departments are usually looking to work in the most efficient way possible, a workflow management software may come in handy.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

Making a sustainable business that contributes not only to its shareholders and investors but also to the community, the environment and its people.
