Focus on: The career of Miguel Angel Raygada Castillo
Miguel Angel Raygada Castillo graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and is a recognised expert in financial regulation, legal risk management, contracting and financing, having advised the financial institutions of which he has been a part, in complex local and international transactions, some of which amounted to hundreds and billions of US dollars.
With an extensive experience in the banking Industry, he currently leads the legal division and the general secretariat of Banco GNB Perú S and represents his company in the Association of Banks of Peru (ASBANC), at this time serving as vice-chairman of the ethics and people relations committee, and member of the regulatory affairs committee of said banking union. Also, he teaches as professor of the financial and banking law course in the ESAN University.
Mr. Raygada has completed two master’s degrees, the first in Strategic Business Administration and the second in Banking and Financial Law, both at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Likewise, Mr. Raygada has studied abroad, having completed the General Business Studies Certificate at UCLA Extension (USA) and the Fintech Talent Program at Utrecht University (The Netherlands), among other studies.
He is author of the book “Digital Mortgage Loans in Perú” and co-author of the books “Legal Risk Management” and “Peruvian International Trade Law”.
Mr. Raygada believes that the qualities required to be successful as an in-house legal advisor in the banking industry is knowing how to work in a legal and interdisciplinary team, knowing clearly that values and ethics should take precedence in the evaluation of decision-making.
