How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
During periods of instability or crisis, there is a high demand for legal services. Instead of viewing ourselves solely as a support area, we consider ourselves strategic partners serving internal clients. In such times, it is crucial to be even closer to the business to identify opportunities where we can effectively add value, both to the business and the company, by adapting and flexibilizing internal processes to become a more agile, digital company better prepared to face challenging circumstances.
During these critical moments, proactive collaboration aligned with the needs of the business is essential. Maintaining open and constant communication is crucial to identify opportunities for improvement and offer innovative solutions that drive the long-term success of the company, allowing us to be even more valuable partners during times of instability or crisis.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
It will definitely be Artificial Intelligence (AI). As I mentioned before, since Entel is also a technology company, we have the responsibility to be at the forefront in this regard. Therefore, adapting these types of tools to our daily work is something that we have been working on with Entel’s Innovation team.
In this sense, I strongly believe that the legal team of Entel Perú is one of the few large companies in Peru that has formally adopted artificial intelligence as part of its continuous improvement processes in its triennial plan. Along this path, we will not only create operational efficiencies but also provide a better experience for our internal customers and clients.
