The legal team for leading food and seasoning company, Ajinomoto del Perú, is structured functionally according to the competences and potentialities of every member. Manager of legal and administrative department, Carlos Alberto Callirgos Paz, leads a committed team that is dedicated to achieving their maximum potential as well as achieve their personal goals and objectives within their areas of specialism, an attitude which has been encouraged by management. ‘Since more than three years ago I was named leader of all legal activities for the 50 years of the company in Peru. A role I’ve held throughout 2018, and since it was a highly responsible job that required a lot of time, it allowed me to empower the members of the area and consolidate their skills, leadership and confidence with excellent performance’, explains Paz. Divided in departments of contracts, corporate, insurance and judicial and administrative, the legal team are effectively able to proactively support the organisation and provide and efficient service through the application of values and corporate principles. The legal team was part of an important project for the construction of a new subsea pipe line worth US$1,400,00 for which they had to negotiate and manage with private and public institutions. The legal team were also able to collect an unpaid loan of almost US$500,000 to a client in Central America who was closing operations through direct actions.
