The Graña y Montero legal team worked on the sale of its stake in GMD to private equity firm Advent international for US$84.7m in 2017.
In 2014, the legal team assisted in the purchase of a 70% stake in Morelco, a recognised Colombian company specialised in electromechanical assemblies, civil works and services for the oil and gas industry. This transaction has allowed Graña y Montero to reinforce its participation in the development of projects in Colombia and wider Latin America.
As an extension of the above transaction, in 2017, the legal team additionally assisted Morelco being awarded two new contracts with Ecopetrol, a Colombian national oil company.
