Over the last few years, the Southern Peru Copper Corporation legal team has strengthened the values of business collaborators and stakeholders, which has contributed to its success as a function and internal perception as a department.
The legal team has recently assisted in various expansion projects to drive the growth of Southern Peru Copper Corporation. In 2018, the company, with the assistance of the legal team, completed the acquisition of Michiquillay project in Cajamarca Peru, which boasts mineral resources of 1,150 million tons.
The team has also assisted in spearheading a number of communication and educational campaigns that Southern Peru Copper Corporation has rolled out with water authorities, in order to spread the responsible and efficient use of water in mining.
