With career achievements that have seen him widely recognised as a leading expert in Africa related issues, Grant Henderson has also been responsible for leading the development of DLA Piper’s strategy in the continent, including establishing relationships between the firm and many of the members of the DLA Piper Africa group. Henderson’s expertise has seen him work on matters in over 25 African countries across a range of sectors, specialising in mid and downstream oil, mining and agribusiness. Amongst the litany of acquisitions, disposals, projects and corporate finance transactions he has worked on over more than 20 years, Henderson advised Puma Energy regarding its acquisition of BP’s downstream businesses in Zambia, Namibia, Malawi, Tanzania and Botswana, as well as on its acquisition of a series of downstream oil and gas businesses in Southern Africa.
