The widely-acclaimed Joshua Siaw advises corporate entities, governments, banks and other financial institutions on cross-border project development and finance transactions in Africa, and is director of the White & Case Africa practice. With a portfolio of deals within the region, many of which have been landmark cross-border finance deals, Siaw’s practice is truly international in scope – helped in part by his movement between his firm’s London and Johannesburg offices. In 2018, Siaw was selected as the only lawyer to join UK Prime Minister Theresa May on her trade mission to Africa. Further demonstrating his recognition as a leading expert in financial legal matters in Africa, Siaw was appointed as a member of the UK-Africa Fintech Investment Group, a fintech partnership designed to strengthen UK and African relations in these cutting-edge matters.
