Antonia Stolper is Shearman & Sterling’s Regional Managing Partner for Latin America and a member of the firm’s Capital Markets-Americas practice group. Widely regarded as one of the leading private practice lawyers in the US, she has extensive experience of registered public offerings and has acted on a wide range of emerging markets corporate finance transactions. In recent years she has acted on a number of important Mexican IPOs, including Elementia, FIBRA Prologis, and Volaris’ dual-listing IPO. More broadly, she has represented a range of foreign private issuers, underwriters, corporate and governmental entities on debt and equity transactions in Latin America. Recently, she has represented Latin American corporate and sovereign issuers on debt and equity securities offerings and issuers, dealer managers and creditors on restructuring transactions. She also advises Latin American issuers on their ongoing SEC reporting requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and corporate governance matters. Stolper is a board member of the Council of the Americas and vice-chair of the Vance Center Committee of the New York City Bar Association, which focuses on promoting pro bono activity in Latin America and is involved in a number of initiatives to advance the status of women in the legal profession throughout the Americas.
