A new recruit to Sidley Austin’s Houston office, Brian Bradshaw has a wealth of experience in upstream oil-and-gas and LNG transactions. Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, Brian has extensive international experience, especially in Latin America, where his practice focuses on project development and finance, corporate finance, and mergers-and-acquisitions matters involving oil-and-gas, power and liquefied natural gas (LNG). His experience in domestic and international matters include every stage of the development, construction and financing of upstream, midstream and downstream projects, as well as conventional and renewable power projects. Moreover, he has advised clients on a wide range of projects including liquefaction, regasification, refineries, petrochemical plants, natural gas and liquids pipelines, upstream development, and all-related supply and off-take arrangements for gas, power, LNG, crude oil, refined products and coal. Before joining Sidley his Mexico-facing work included representing a Brazilian company on the acquisition of an upstream interest in the Gulf of Mexico; representing a major utility in the development of Costa Azul, a LNG regasification facility in Baja California, including drafting and negotiating a supply agreement with deliveries from Indonesia and Malaysia; acting for an international consortium on the development of a LNG regasification plant in Sonora; and negotiating supply agreements as part of the development of an LNG liquefaction plant in Mexico.
