The ‘client-oriented’ Dorina Yessios engages in ‘constructive dialogue’ and has ‘deep knowledge of local issues’. She has extensive experience advising on the full spectrum of energy and infrastructure projects throughout Latin America and is a key member of the Allen & Overy’s US and Latin America projects team. She has almost 20 years of experience advising lenders, sponsors, project companies and underwriters. Yessios recently acted for Cubico and Parque Eolico el Mezquite on the financing of the 249MW Mesquite wind project. She also advised on the Red Compartida project, the largest telecoms tender in Mexican history. In previous years, she acted for Grupo México and México Generadora de Energía on the $575m bond financing of the construction of 500MW-worth of power plants. Outside of Mexico, Yessios assisted Shikun & Binui with financing, constructing and operating Colombia’s $500m Perimetral de Cundinamarca 4G road concession. She also acted for the lenders to the winning bidder on the construction and operation of the Spence SGO copper mine desalination plant in Chile, and has been advising Genrent del Peru on refinancing the 80MW Iquitos thermoelectric power plant via a private placement. Credit Suisse, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and JP Morgan frequently instruct her on projects throughout the Caribbean.
