Dividing her time between New York and Miami Jeannine Acevedo is an emerging name at White & Case who has significant expertise in power and infrastructure projects throughout Latin America, including public-private partnerships. Clients include commercial banks, institutional investors and creditors, often representing them in complex cross-border transactions work.
Acevedo recently represented Braskem Idesa S.A.P.I. in the development, procurement, construction and financing of its $4.5bn Etileno XXI integrated petrochemicals project located in Veracruz, Mexico. The $3.2bn project financing was extended by agency lenders Bancomext, BNDES, EDC, IDB, IFC, Nafin and SACE, with the participation of ten commercial banks. Advice also involved the negotiation of leases for Braskem Idesa’s railcar fleet. Her pro bono representations have included The Nature Conservancy in negotiations to establish the Forever Costa Rica Project and a second debt-for-nature swap between the Costa Rican and US government, with a value of $56m in public and private funding for conservation projects.
