Edna Laura Perez is the general counsel for the international segment of Parkland Corporation, known as the Sol Group. The legal team led and managed by Ms. Perez provides support to Parkland International’s business consisting of fuel distribution and marketing, convenience store retailing and renewable energy activities in 23 countries across the Caribbean and South America.  She and her team advise on all legal matters affecting the Sol business including in areas of corporate, real estate, franchising, intellectual property, environmental, finance, regulatory compliance and mergers and acquisitions. During her time with Parkland International and previously with Sol, Ms. Perez led the company through various acquisitions supporting its rapid growth throughout the region. Ms. Perez considers the role of the Sol legal team to be first and foremost that of strategic partner to the business through an intimate knowledge and understanding of the company’s objectives and goals. Ms. Perez is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
