With more than 15 years of expertise in the legal field, Alexandra Padurariu has been handling legal and compliance for Samsung Electronics Romania, ever since the start of company’s activity in our country, for almost 12 years now. From this position Alexandra handled the overall management of the legal and compliance function and contract management, with strong focus on adding value, advising business leaders and fellow board members on strategic legal and related matters in the early phases of business plan development. In the beginning of 2023 Alexandra also took over the position of public affairs head for Samsung Electronics Romania, handling government relations and acting as a strategic partner for state regulators in the area of information technology, education, digitalisation. Alexandra and her team were nominated and won the Samsung European President’s Award twice, for deploying a comprehensive internal Compliance Programme (2022) and for the successful negotiation and defense of the company in a recent case (2023). Prior to this, Alexandra was an attorney-at-law specialised in the banking and finance area with a reputable international law firm. Alexandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Bucharest University, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Economic Studies Academy and a Master’s degree from Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne.
