Focus on… my career  

I am a lawyer with over 14 years of experience, dedicated to assisting companies across diverse industries in navigating complex legal projects, embracing digitalisation and promoting sustainability.  

My academic background includes a master’s degree in business law and a bachelor’s degree in law from University of Bucharest, Romania. Additionally, I hold a graduate certificate in communication science from the same university. Currently, I act as the head of legal operations and hold a position in the executive committee at Viarom Construct (formerly Vinci Group company), in Bucharest, Romania.  

In this pivotal role, I oversee digital transformation initiatives, handle complex arbitration cases, and manage daily activities and ongoing projects for our legal team. My responsibilities also extend to financial stability and include the development, implementation, and refinement of departmental processes. This encompasses collaborative work with cross-functional teams and the establishment of key relationships with various company functions to align with our legal team’s strategic objectives. Additionally, I am in the process of taking on the role of coordinating the company-wide sustainability implementation project.  

Prior to my current role, I served as the legal manager and was an integral part of the leadership team at Synevo Romania. In this capacity, I led the legal team, actively developing legal strategy and overseeing the formulation of internal policies, regulations, and workflows, and providing direction for the litigation portfolio. One of my most rewarding experiences was building the legal team from scratch and nurturing a legal culture within the company. Under my guidance, we significantly improved the efficiency and quality of legal activities, which in turn enhanced business continuity.  

My career also includes a significant tenure at MOL Romania Petroleum Products, where I held the role of senior legal advisor and of interim legal manager. At MOL, I provided legal counsel for all subsidiaries of MOL group, advised on legal matters across departments, and played an important role in managing internal legal activities.  

Throughout my career, I have been instrumental in leading critical initiatives such as the meticulous implementation of GDPR compliance at Synevo, overseeing the implementation of the telemedicine platform (Synevo Decoder) and pioneering the introduction of virtual reality technology for paediatric blood collection.  

Additionally, I coordinated the corporate next steps in the M&A project involving former AGIP (ENI) service stations, including risk analysis, executive due diligence, business integration, and legal mergers. I also developed a tailored litigation strategy for upstream activities, successfully overcoming commercial and technical obstacles.  

These experiences have honed my expertise, enabling me to handle a variety of legal challenges and deliver successful outcomes within defined timeframes and budgetary limits. Looking ahead, I remain excited about the future as I continue to pursue legal excellence and innovative solutions in this ever-evolving legal landscape.
