How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience? 

In times of instability or crisis, effective communication and the development of appropriate strategic plans are crucial. Therefore, I ensure that I am familiar with the business strategy and that the business understands the main legislative risks. Both elements are harmonised in a gap analysis, which then guides the working group in developing the resilience plan. 

I consider communication, coordination, and an emergency plan essential. This plan should follow established decision-making principles and be able to respond swiftly and decisively, aligning with both organisational objectives and relevant legislation.

What measures has your company taken to embed sustainability practices into its core business operations, and how does the role of the general counsel contribute to driving and ensuring sustainable practices within the company?  

eMAG Group has taken steps towards sustainability by reducing emissions with electric deliveries, managing waste, and promoting responsible consumption. Corporate governance is emphasised, focusing on data management, transparency, and employee well-being. The general counsel plays a key role by raising awareness and coordinating implementation of sustainable practices, ensuring alignment with various legislative updates and business projects.
